I have opened a window and can hear the birds. Lovely sounds of early Springtime in the British countryside.

A buzzing sound has just drifted past the open window ~ the first bumblebee that I have heard this Spring season. Such a wonderful sign of life.

The rose pictured, EMPRESS JOSÉPHINE (Old Rose), is one that was picked in our garden during Summer, one of my favourites. The fragrance of roses is one of the most special things to me.

It is the Easter weekend and I am so grateful for all the blessings in my life.
