What If I Told You ~ A Poem

dsc06392 - Rose: A Shropshire Lad, by David Austin Roses - (c) Holly M Maxwell Boydell - www.TheHollyTreeTales.com

What if I told you

What if I told you that it is hard,

Would that make what I do worth more?

What if I told you that what I do is easy,

Would that do it for you?

Where is the value that you place upon me,

If I cannot see or feel it in your space?

What if I told you that I suffer,

Where is the magic of the moment that is grace?

What if I told you that it is hard,

Would you perceive my value with new eyes?

What if I told you that my dreams are larger than life itself,

Would that cause a showering of countless blessing,

The fragrance of life exuberantly abundant with elegant surprise?
