For Christmas …
Quirky Claus is a “somewhat” new alternative take on the traditional Father Christmas story.
As the mischievous cousin of the rather better known Santa Claus, he resides with his sidekick – and not always … the most loyal of friends – Timothy the Toucan or A.K.A. Timothy, (surname) Toucan.
Quirky Claus, through a series of unique misadventures, gets himself into one increasingly difficult predicament after another, as he attempts to deliver an array of unusual, incredibly bizarre – but above all unexpected – Christmas presents, to the ‘naughty’ children of the world …
Who – let us be most honest – “really” would have been far, far wiser (of course) to have behaved that tincey wincey bit better, before the actual big day itself!

Introducing more Authors and their books …
This is the book that introduced me to Neil Francis, when we met at a book festival on our mutual journeys back to wellness. I am honoured to call Neil a friend.
‘Inspiration, Ideas and Insights for Starting Again From the CEO Who Became a Caddie’, after suffering a debilitating stroke … and then made an amazing ‘come back’, inspiring many in the process!!
Neil Francis has gone on to produce several more insightful and inspiring books, this being his second one:
DANIEL P GREGORY
This book is newly published and has fascinatingly timely connections between farming, organics and architecture at a time when sustainability is a key consideration for land owners everywhere.
Dr CAROLINE LEAF

It is an honour and a privilege to be a friend of Rusty Labuschagne, whose story is a revelation.
This is the story of one courageous and hugely inspirational man, who was unfairly imprisoned in Africa and extremely cruelly treated. Rusty Labuschagne survived brutal treatment, solitary confinement, and came out of his horrific ten year ordeal with a heart ready to forgive his captors. The story is powerful, confronting, heart breaking, inspirational and filled with hope for humanity.
*Please mention that you heard about this from Holly Maxwell Boydell, via The Holly Tree Tales. Thank you!
I have known the Author, Anna Meryt, since my childhood. We met in Africa, where I was born and grew up, when she and her husband and eldest daughter were living in Cape Town.
CATHERINE DE VRYE

One of the ‘stories’ that Richard is most known for.
Richard Demarco & Joseph Beuys: A Unique Partnership

I attended one of Robert McKee‘s weekend seminars in London, during the latter part of 1989 / early 1990 (cannot quite recall), on screenwriting. We studied the “Casablanca” film script and filming technique. Memorably, John Cleese was a fellow ‘student’ at the event. I remember it as a very special weekend and highly enlightening, enlivening and informative.
Some of Robert McKee’s books:
Substance, Structure, Style and the Principles of Screenwriting
Story-Driven Marketing in the Post-Advertising World
I learnt recently, while watching an interview that my Aunt had shared with me, that India Hicks has written several books.
What I also learnt, at the end of my schooling years, once I had turned eighteen in 1980 and met my father and immediate family on his side, is that I am descended from the Mountbattens. Our connection is distant, but I am also related to Edwina Mountbatten, who is India Hicks’ grandmother. The synchronicity and the stories are incredible.
India Hicks‘ latest book is called An Entertaining Story. It promises to be just that!
